We loved Willa as the single mom, unsure of herself and afraid to love again, but knowing she wants only the best for Scout. The supporting cast, for the most part, had their moments – including Teryl Rothery (as Mable) and Andrew Airlie (as Ken) – plus Hilary Jardone (as Sage) was strong in her supporting role as Willa’s future BFF. ? The Naughty List ? Did Scout Get That Great Christmas Memory?

About halfway through the movie, Finn ends up discovering the true reason why his father gave Willa the money: because Scout nearly died and she ended up deep in debt due to medical bills. So is Finn Knightly ( David Haydn-Jones). He tells his sister, Molly ( Julia Benson) that he plans to confront Willa, find out the truth, and serve her with an injunction. Finn Conrad wants answers. Egged on by his bitter mother and his concerned sisters, he visits Bramble House to find out why his recently deceased father didn’t tell his children that he was dying and left a family heirloom and money to the young nurse who knew him for only six weeks. We even learn a lot about the life of character who we never see on-screen, other than in a framed picture as a child at Bramble House – Greg Conrad – why he abandoned his wife and children, his regret, and his attempt at redemption through Willa. Perhaps the ending is a touch on the pat side, common with Hallmark. Do have to agree too that one character's change of heart does not make much sense (if there was any explanation provided it did escape me), is revealed too suddenly. Willa Knightly, a young nurse and single mom with a 6-year-old son who fought and won their battle with Cancer. Just as I thought watching Christmas films are over, only the real Christmas is what left to enjoy, I came across with this film. This is a last moment review written in the week of Christmas eve. The reason I liked was, it is another Christmas film based on the book of the same name. I think Hallmark should adapt books more often. The original screenplays are almost nothing. No innovation, not interesting enough. But literature based films like this makes a lot sense to watch. With an artistic presentation, the depth in characters and events, the story is well convincing. Talking about the filming process, Autumn Reeser (Willa) told Starry Mag, “We shot on this horse farm and it was really quaint. We had a lot of fake snow to make it look as Christmas as possible. I liked it because I didn’t have to be as cold as I usually am.” British Columbia is frequently used in Hallmark movies. The shooting usually takes place in summer, despite most of them being Christmas movies. The cast and crew put in maximal effort to tap into the wintry and magical vibe Christmas usually emanates because of the fact that these movies are produced way ahead of the holiday season. A Bramble House Christmas Cast

Egged on by his bitter mom and concerned sisters, Finn Conrad goes to Marietta, Montana to see who this woman is and what hold she had on his father.... That aside and if you forget why they're brought together, the romance is really nice and I like the connections that Dave makes with both Mother and Child. If I had to fault the plot for something, it would be that the reason that Finn's dad abandoned his kids was kind of unbelievable. So, his dad was a workaholic, and he felt his kids would be better off if he left, thereby freeing Finn's mom to marry someone who would be a real father to them? That just seems nonsensical. Give the dad some real motivation for leaving, such as alcoholism. That would make more sense. Also, at the end of the dad's life, when it was clear from his conversations with his nurse Willa that he loved his children and had a lot of regrets about leaving them, why didn't he make any effort to reconcile with them? Why didn't Willa encourage him to do so? The man was dying, after all. There needed to be a credible explanation for that, also, and none was given. I haven't read the book that this movie was based on, but I suspect that some of these details were dealt with better in the book and were lost in translation to the screen. I think I connect with the characters better when they are a creative type and so I like that he's a book illustrator and how that channels the story.

Both spend the next 3 weeks hiding their secrets while having this sense of something special for each other...Will new trust be broken and the opportunity to experience authentic love be lost...We find other characters worth knowing. There is Mable, the owner of Bramble House and her niece and great niece and a male guest. The story weaves them all together with Willa as the heart that binds them. A Bramble House Christmas is a 2017 American-Canadian romantic drama. It was directed by Steven R. Monroe and starred Autumn Reeser and David Haydn-Jones. It premiered on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on November 19, 2017. [1] Plot [ edit ] Then after the inevitable confrontation, suddenly Molly is totally convinced she was wrong about Willa (because Willa cried and said so and stormed out of the room?).

Finn and his sister Molly (Julia Benson) have a strong but unproven belief that the young and pretty caregiver Willa is a gold digger and that she somehow stole their own deserved inheritance from their estranged father's estate. Finn is under a rigid 30 day timeline before the will can no longer legally be contested so he travels to the bed and breakfast that Willa and her young son Scout (Liam Hughes) are staying at over the Christmas and New Year period. The Bed and Breakfast lodge of Bramble House was a gracious gift to Willa and her cute as a buton son Scout donated by the deceased benefactor Mr. Conrad. That’s exactly what the man’s now-grown children, whom he abandoned when they were quite young, want to know in the 2017 Hallmark film “A Bramble House Christmas”. ‘Twas “A Bramble House Christmas”As they get to know each other, Finn casually interrogates both Willa and Scout about their lives, all the while concealing his true identity from them. Scout became friends with Finn, but Finn had ulterior motives and was lying to Scout and Willa for most of the movie.
