Description

The descriptions of the cottages and the lighthouse are so vivid that you can really picture what Eden is seeing as she goes to work and back home to the cottages. I loved Eden, and I so much wanted her life to continue on the upward spiral she has found for herself, after a failed marriage to a complete and utter git! However i wasn’t counting on spending the whole morning just reading the book without stopping until I had finished. I love a bit of Phillipa Ashley, perfect for hot sunny days reading in the park, or cosy autumn evenings curled up in bed. As the characters follow a well-developed story arc, it’s impossible not to be drawn into their lives.

Although very polite and friendly Eden finds it very strange that he hardly ever tells them anything about himself. She was with a husband who was a stranger to the truth and when all his secrets came out, she was left with nothing.Helping them to move forward, leaving parts of their past behind to create and achieve a new bright and happy future. I absolutely loved the descriptions of the lighthouse and the scenery … made me long for a holiday on the Cornish coast. An unforgettable tale of romance, humour and heart set against the stunning backdrop of the Cornish coast, from the Sunday Times bestseller. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a complementary digital copy of this ebook in exchange for a full frank and honest review.

This was no different and I am delighted to say that I learned about coffee roasting, lighthouse keeping, and surveillance by the intelligence services. Phillipa Ashley has once again created an immersive book that captured my imagination from the earliest pages. We are introduced introduced to Morwenna, Edan's best friend, she's been away for a couple of weeks so missed her talks about Simon and Levan, she is a photographer. The writing is so descriptive, I could almost hear the waves crashing on the rocks as I was reading.Or, if you’re currently in the middle of winter, snuggle up by the fire with a cup of cocoa and dream of warmer days! It was a lovely romantic plot but also without giving away any spoilers had other themes/plots to keep my interest. All seems "normal" in this small community, with holiday makers coming to enjoy coffee and the stunning ocean views, until a mysterious neighbour moves into one of the holiday homes and turns this rather peaceful set of cottages into something a little more exciting. Thank you to Avon Books UK for the opportunity to read and review a copy of A Secret Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley. Eden needs to learn to trust men again after her ex-husband Simon betrayed her - can she learn to trust Leven?

Centered around 3 generations of strong women- Iris, Sally, and Eden, and the family secrets that they struggle with.A Secret Cornish Summer is blissful story, full of sunshine, secrets and Phillipa’s trademark romance, that I loved diving into. A new owner of the cottage next door, might just be the one person who maybe able to change her thinking. A close knit family lives near a lighthouse in Cornwall; very idealic and gorgeous area where any chances don't go unnoticed.

Eden and Levan have a rocky road, but they can handle it and will come out at the end of the path stronger as one. I realized that I need to continue only when I had a chuck of time, since I knew it would be difficult to stop!I loved the romance side and the bond between grandmother, daughter and grand daughter is just lovely to read about. When Eden steps out of her beautiful coastal cottage to find a Speedo-wearing, suntanned stranger doing yoga in next door's garden, she is immediately on her guard. Eden is a third generation in a long line of lighthouse keepers, but now that everything is automated, she’s free to run her coffee business. A heart-warming read full of sun, sea, friendship and romance perfect for fans of SARAH MORGAN and TRISHA ASHLEY.
