They are able to overcome their own past by leaning on each other and allowing themselves to trust one another.

She is a lovely woman and a good friend, but she is a side-character with no major influence on the story.

Rather than try and work something out she tries to distance herself from whatever it is that may or may not be happening with Josh. The development of the relationship doesn’t seem very realistic at all and the ending doesn’t feel like an end.

Their appearance is maybe hinted once throughout the book but overall I feel like the author needs to work on her character building. She has asserted that her success came from being intentional and penning novels that were hot in the market at the time. and don’t even get me started on abigail’s chapters… they added nothing to the book and were completely unnecessary… and she’s not even a big character like i get she’s supposed to be friends with shelby but that relationship never developed. If this is indicative of how the Braxton Brothers series is crafted, it is not well written enough for me to continue reading.Meyer began writing in 2012 but it was not until five years later that she published her first novel. You don't know what's happening to Abigail and what's happening to the main character and the ex-stepbrother. Even though Beth is no longer the lanky girl next door, Josh isn’t looking for a relationship anyway. I hope Abigail will find love in one of the two guys that she’s interested in and the Miles won’t give up on Shelby and choose her an show her what love is like and she can lean on her to heal and not be the broken girl who’s use to ! Olivia thought she had the perfect plan; to convince Ethan, the school quarterback who had been her best friend since they were little, to offer himself as the prize in her march making test, in which she intends to use the proceeds to pay for a vacation for the band.

The latter came crashing down when Principal Connell asked her to help lead Cade turn his life around. Just when I reach my breaking point, Miles, the single dad living at the inn, swoops in to my life to rescue me. If the author would have followed one story line and gave the characters some well developed story lines this story had so much potential. Josh moves back to his childhood home with his son Jordan after Josh’s wife leaves them for Josh’s former work partner. She is only ever referenced and is almost completely non verbal, apparently she's always giggling and that's the only trait to her. The lack of cohesion in the story, the unrealistic and repetitive actions of the characters, descriptive words that don’t even make sense…yeah. When Josh’s mother, the town’s busy body, arranges for Beth to be his nanny, Josh decides to go along with it. A sweet romance that follows the first son of the Braxton family who's come home to the small South Carolina town of Honey Grove.
