omni-directional antennas design ensures consistent coverage over a broad area with high-bandwidth 5G signal. Thats why a lot of WiFi routers have rabbit-ear/multiple ~5inch antennas sticking out of them - function over form. The Huawei 5G CPE Outdoor Antenna AF9E is a 5G capable antenna for extending the signal of your current 4G home broadband or boosting the signal of your new 5G Device. If the signal is the same indoors and outdoors it is unlikely that this antenna is going to improve or ‘boost’ your 5G signal strength.

Brought product in November 2021 to add smart technology capability to my disabled sisters room at her care home. If you want to REVIEW Your ISP then be aware that we use a separate member database and system for that ( Sign-up Here to Review). I'd expect your router to connect to whichever 4G mast has the better metrics (using its internal antennas) and then depending where you're pointing the external antenna connect to that mast for its 5G.

Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). HUAWEI 5G CPE Win features outdoor installation, which makes it easier to receive 5G signal, even in remote regions where 5G signal is weak.

Thanks to the 5G SRS (Surrronding Reference Signal) Antenna Switching by 4 antennas, HUAWEI 5G CPE Win detects the signal in real time to provide you with reliable performance even when encountering interference. This is not a booster antenna – you would not connect this to your router and keep the antenna next to the router. Equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port, this HUAWEI 5G CPE Win can be connected to a host of devices with Ethernet cables, making it possible to be applied in varied scenarios. Integrated with smart signal test tool (direct from 5G CPE Pro to ensure the accuracy of the result) which is easy for antennas direction adjustment. The Mast that is under 1km away is uphill, about a 30m thick woodland, and a few houses between us and I cannot get direct line of site. Multiple easy installation methods such as: wall, post, windowsill, which meet all kinds of home scenes. Cons: Battery, even with 8000 mAh it did not last whole day (connected to only one laptop, 4G/4G+ connection). Given the speeds you're getting, particularly the upload speeds which are pretty much maxing out EE's 4G upload capacity on a single B3 carrier, I would say you get a good connection.

If the signal strength and speedtest are fairly similar then there is no need to install an outdoor 5G antenna, in fact if you install an antenna in this scenario it is likely your will have a poorer service as the signal now has to travel along your antenna cable and any extra extension cables before it reaches your 5G router. It's generic username/password I'm assuming but have tried all the usual suspects and they have failed. Like in the same room next to the router, 99 Mb/s, 3 rooms on but with almost direct line of sight through windows, 1-15 Mb/s.Supports both NSA and SA (Non-Standalone and Standalone) network modes, and mainstream 5G frequency bands. Normal home broadband providers would also not install any Internet as the local telecoms company who does installations does not believe my property exists yet. You have to use the external CPE as rain for 5G uses 4x4 Mimo i think or 6x6 those plugs at the back will only give you 2x2 so hence the 5G light will go off. Happy with my 5G with rain but need to move the unit to a more eye pleasing spot, so an external antenna will do nicely, don't have windows on that side of the house. Looks like I will have to get up to the pole I have on the house and point at the other mast see what happens.

The Huawei AF9E Outdoor 5G Antenna is a 5G capable antenna for extending the signal of your current 5G home broadband and boosting the reach of your 5G Device. With that ID you should be able to find that on cellmapper providing your area has been suitably mapped by its users. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The annoying thing from the modem point of view is that it was unable to switch from 5G to 4G if the 4G performance was better, I had to change from the new sim card to the old 4G only sim card from my phone. So I wouldn't be better off getting another router and using a external 4G Antenna instead of the 5G one I have. Device worked perfect and resolved a lot of connectivity issues until two weeks ago when I got a report from the care home that the device was overheating and the screen had shattered. I was of the view with a line of site and external Antenna I would get better signals, and with me having the router on that side of the house it always is a better signal. In my opinion, replacing the AF9E antenna with something else is not likely to increase the signal reception and at the antenna the signal level could actually end up being lower if the peak of the gain isn't in the 'right' place (I caveat this with not knowing the signal loss through the cable in use, so things may balance out if the Huawei cable is poor quality and the others are better with less loss). Interestingly I am connected to the mast closest to me that I don't have line of site on and have Woodland between me and that mast, and have the router at the opposite side of the house to that mast.
