Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is a little further away. You have the option of taking the bus, which will be around 30-45 minutes, or you can take the RER train from the airport which takes between 25 and 50 minutes to Gare du Nord, depending on if it is a fast or a slow service. In fact, one of our favourite ways of touring Paris on a budget is on an open-top bus – although try to travel on the open-top bus outside of rush hour as the peak traffic in the city could result in you staring at the same building for upwards of 30 minutes.
