Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is a little further away. You have the option of taking the bus, which will be around 30-45 minutes, or you can take the RER train from the airport which takes between 25 and 50 minutes to Gare du Nord, depending on if it is a fast or a slow service. In fact, one of our favourite ways of touring Paris on a budget is on an open-top bus – although try to travel on the open-top bus outside of rush hour as the peak traffic in the city could result in you staring at the same building for upwards of 30 minutes. The reality is that, depending on what you’re looking for, there are other neighborhoods that probably meet your needs.
